At the very least ship her back to the States, I was devastated to see her on the Canadian sytycd. I thought I might actually be able to enjoy dancing without cringing at her outfits and voice for a season. And well after that laughable performance at the end of the last US season, I’m really doubting her ability to dance anymore..
Sean,
I don’t want her back in the states. I was glad to see her in Canada. Maybe they won’t send her back. The only solace you have is that I think Mary Murphy is only a guest judge on So You Think You Can Dance Canada. So, you might be lucky enough to only have to see her sometimes and not EVERY episode like we have to endure.
I was disappointed to see her on the Canadian show as well; her credibility as a judge is shot with me after her behaviour on the just-finished U.S. SYTYCD.
I don’t doubt that she knows her stuff and I don’t dislike her critiques when they’re reasonable and not obviously intended to manipulate voters toward a specific outcome, but the shrieking and over-the-top emotionalism are unnecessary and lower the tone of the whole show to the level of parody, which strikes me as disrespectful to the dancers who work so hard to put on a good performance.
