Song that Parris Torres danced to in Miami…anyone know?

Toxic…but where can I find this verison? Not Ms. Spears, right?

    2. # John commented on May 27th, 2009:

I’ve heard that the version of Toxic Yael Naïm - Yael Naïm - Toxic was by Yael Naim. The iTunes image will take you to that version of the song on iTunes.

I’m just not sure who danced to the song Toxic since I missed part of the show tonight due to some unavoidable conflicts.

    3. # Bartley commented on May 27th, 2009:

Paris Torres danced to “Toxic” Yael Naïm - Yael Naïm - Toxic done by Yael Naim. I am still trying to figure out a song that was on tonight’s episode. I honestly don’t even remember who performed it but they were bad. It kept saying “Make you crazy” and “Lets get crazy” in the lyrics.

    4. # kate commented on May 28th, 2009:

does anyone know what the song featuring rhianna was?
i forget who danced to it..
& you can find the toxic song on itunes by yael naim (or by clicking this iTunes image Yael Naïm - Yael Naïm - Toxic)

    5. # Laeren Misha commented on May 28th, 2009:

There’s still another song that I’m looking for on this ep – the song where Travis Prokop comes out of the doors after getting his Vegas ticket. Then the song quits, and we cut to the 2nd Guerra twin getting her results. Then the song resumes after the 2nd Guerra twin comes out with her Vegas ticket. Some parts of the montage include the other dancers going to Vegas (at one point they’re jumping up and down chanting Ve-gas! Ve-gas!).

      Danielle,
I’m with you on all counts (although I’m a bit biased on the love of this website). Let me know if there are other things you’d like to see on the site.

    9. # Natalie commented on May 28th, 2009:

I’m pretty sure Janette Manera & Romulo Villaverde danced to “Oye Como Va” (If memory serves me correctly). I’m not sure which version they used though. Sounded faster than the Santana Santana - Ultimate Santana - Oye Como Va and Tito Puente Tito Puente - Mambo Birdland - Oye Como Va versions. It’s a favorite of ballroom dancers in the SYTYCD universe.

    10. # bronwyn commented on May 28th, 2009:

What was the name of the song Dustin Dorough danced to?

    11. # Laeren Misha commented on May 28th, 2009:

    12. # JPS commented on May 28th, 2009:

That was Celia Cruz’s version of “Oye Como Va” Celia Cruz - Celia Cruz Hits Mix - Oye Como Va

What was that song??? Just before the Seattle auditions they showed a quick clip of a girl dancing to the sweetest song but they didn’t give her a profile. It happened around 9:10 in the show. Totally vague, I know – but any clue what it is??

    27. # Heidi commented on May 28th, 2009:

Any help here would be appreciated…
During the Seatle auditions, right after the judges bitched about all the crappy dancers, a girl with funky hair came on and Nigel said “please please please be good.” And she was. More importantly…I need the song she danced to.

      Anyone?

      Thanks! :)

      @Chris
Very nice of you to take the time and share. I might have to collect all the nice comments and share them with my wife. Might make her appreciate what I’m doing as well;-)

Has anyone been able to find the song Geo (African, feathered head-dress guy that tickled Mary’s fancy or whatever) danced to yet? I’ve been searching for it, and the most frustrating thing is that I know it from somewhere, but I can’t figure out what! Anyone else?

    53. # Cinda commented on June 1st, 2009:

If anyone finds Geo Smith’s song, please post! (OMG I love that song-such a great quick paced song)

the one song playing during the megan kinney/alex wong dancers wasn’t mahna mahna Cake - For the Kids - Mahna Mahna….i don’t know wat you’re talking about.

the song is Take Me On the Floor The Veronicas - Hook Me Up - Take Me On the Floor by the Veronicas

    55. # Kyra commented on June 4th, 2009:

Does anyone know which song that was played in the background during the interview with Chris Carrozza? Not the song he actually danced to, but the instrumental piece that played as he talked about his dance style. It sounds like Hedwig’s Theme from the Harry Potter movies, but I can’t quite tell.

    56. # Scott commented on June 5th, 2009:

Does anyone know the music that they used between the dances – a few of the songs were really great but I couldn’t catch them. Would you be able to add a section of those pieces?

    57. # John commented on June 5th, 2009:

      Scott,
We add them as we get them. Sometimes they’re harder to figure out since they’re usually in the background. You’ll see we have a few of them from the show, but not that many.

    58. # Ryan commented on June 6th, 2009:

Same as Comment #50 Alex – song used during “guide to a good audition” rule number 2. It’s electronic. Thanks!

      Hi fellow sytycd fans!
Judith (and I think Amanda as well…) I FOUND IT!

“standing up straight I’m ten feet tall,
I like this look I love you all.
100 feet off the ground it seems,
that a beautiful day is gracing me.”

    65. # John commented on June 11th, 2009:

      Samantha,
I think you’re talking about “Great DJ” by The Ting Tings. You can see the list from the choreography in Las Vegas: http://www.puresytycd.com/2009/06/03/so-you-think-you-can-dance-las-vegas-week-music-episode-1/

    68. # Kate commented on June 19th, 2009:

Yeah the song Ryan is talking about – the lyrics went “Im in love with loving you” and it was two girls dancing together for the audition mirroring each others moves. I think they were twins? The song was amazing – id love to know who its by – Ive been googling for ever trying to find it. Im in Australia and the episode only just played here…

    69. # Maddi commented on June 19th, 2009:

Desperately seeking the song used in the background just before and for part of the scene when Geo danced. It sounded like an old song rehashed, female vocals, very funky/60’s vibe with a sitar playing, one of the lines went something like this “you moved on the dance floor”… If anyone is in the know please help! BTW you are all excellent researchers! Waiting in hope that someone knows :o )
