Paris Torres and Tony Bellissimo’s Elimination Interviews

I should have posted these a while ago, but life’s been a little busy. I’m working on a couple interviews with choreographers now. Of course, that’s all an excuse. I’ll do better after the next eliminations.

Paris Torres Elimination Interview – I love how candid Paris Torres is in this interview. This interview really made me like Paris more than I did before.

Tony Bellissimo Elimination Interview – I love that Tony goes out on a limb and predicts Evan to do well in the competition.

Jeanine Mason Before So You Think You Can Dance

Everyone knows that I’m all about finding videos of the various So You Think You Can Dance top 20 before they made it on the show. A good reader let me know about these 2 videos of Jeanine Mason dancing before So You Think You Can Dance.

This is a really cool video of Jeanine and Alexis Mason (can you say sisters?)

This is Jeanine Mason at age 16 doing a really interesting solo that combines contemporary and ballet to some Tango music. Quite an odd mix. Impressive dancing for only 16 years old though.

Katie Holmes to Appear on So You Think You Can Dance

Katie Holmes at the IFP project in NYC

Rumors first started about Katie Holmes a while back when Katie met with Nigel Lythgoe. Today Zap2it has confirmed that Katie Holmes will be appearing on So You Think You Can Dance.

Katie Holmes (or should I say Mrs. Cruise) did sing and dance on “Eli Stone” last year (I still miss Eli Stone). Katie also appeared on Broadway in “All My Sons.” Considering the disaster that was the dancers with Sean Kingston last week and the other disaster that was Tyce Diorio’s broadway choreography maybe it’s a match made in heaven.

Suffice it to say that I’m not a real fan of having Katie Holmes on the show. I’d prefer to see some better dance talent. Possibly even past SYTYCD contestants like they do so well on American Idol. That said, I’m happy that someone as famous as Katie Holmes is willing to come on So You Think You Can Dance. I’m all about raising the profile of the show so that we get to enjoy the dancing for many years to come.

What do you think about Katie Holmes appearing on the show? (queue comments about seeing Tom Cruise on So You Think You Can Dance)
