Talking Choreography on SYTYCD – Nappytabs

Another good find this week was these videos showing a little bit of behind the scenes of the choreography on So You Think You Can Dance. I love how this video splices together video of the SYTYCD rehearsals with the actual performance shows:

I loved to hear Nappytabs talk about their group number with Dmitry Chaplin. It really gave me a better understanding of what they had in mind. Plus, the rehearsal performance shots are nice since you can actually see the dancers better than you can in the live show.

So You Think You Can Dance Costumes Behind the Scenes

I actually just got a little connection to someone who works on the costumes for So You Think You Can Dance. So, I’m asking my faithful readers to let me know any questions they’d like to ask of the people behind the So You Think You Can Dance costumes. I can’t promise that they’ll answer them all, but let me have them and I’ll send them on.

Also, I recently came across a few videos from behind the scenes of So You Think You Can Dance where they talk about the costumes on SYTYCD. I’m sure you’ll love these videos.

This is a video behind the scenes showing the costumes for the SYTYCD top 14 group number by Tyce:

Here’s the video about the costumes for the group number by Nappytabs and Dmitry Chaplin. I actually loved this number and so it was fun to see behind the scenes.

You probably should watch this video first since Soyon (the SYTYCD costume designer) gives kind of a good introduction to the SYTYCD costumes. Mia Michaels and Soyon also talk a bit about the process of creating the crazy costumes that Mia likes to have in her routines.

I hope you enjoyed these videos. I think there are a few more. If I find them, then I’ll post them later. Now, let’s have all your questions for the SYTYCD costume people.
