does anyone know the name of the song played during the montage after the guy gets 3 tickets from the judges (becuz he’s so good) its like a african woman saying ay or YAy, then it goes to a rock/dance song.

    2. # Sarah commented on September 23rd, 2009:

Thanks for doing this Emilie. You’re doing a great job with this.

    4. # Tabitha commented on September 23rd, 2009:

Did the bow-tie guy dance to the same song that Jason and Jeanine danced to last season (with that unscripted kiss)?

    5. # Emilie commented on September 23rd, 2009:

      @ John: Thanks!

@Tabitha: Yep. It’s Jason Mraz’s If It Kills Me Jason Mraz

Yay, Boston kicked butt. What a bunch of great auditions. I like the blonde ice creamer scooper. She’s a real charcter. The krumper was great too. I was ready to laugh off the bow tie guy, but man that was quirky cool.

Does anyone know the song that’s played at the end of the boston auditions? I’ve been looking for it but it’s not on any site. I really want to know what that song is

    10. # Robin commented on September 24th, 2009:

Just wondering if anyone knows the song that Russell Ferguson krumped to? Thanks for this site, I just found it and LOVE it!

    11. # Mada commented on September 24th, 2009:

Hi! I looked for the song from the end of the auditions too, and had no luck. But i heard some of the lyrics, maybe somebody recognizes it. It goes like this:
“I’ve been working, I’ve been waiting…not to call my own. All that we want is more. We’re gonna rise. We’re gonna rise.”
There were other small parts of songs that I can’t find, like the one in the beginning of the episode from which I one caught a phrase “Take to the streets”.
I did find one song that’s not on the list. It’s from The Ramones – Rock Rock Rockaway beach The Ramones - Rocket to Russia (Expanded & Remastered) - Rockaway Beach. It played during the interview with Channing Cook, the blonde girl.

    12. # Mada commented on September 24th, 2009:

I just found the song which played during Fabrizio’s audition. It’s Cromeo – Woman Friend Chromeo - She's In Control - Woman Friend. You can listen to a part of it here http://mog.com/music/Chromeo/She%27s_in_Control/Woman_Friend#play . This is all i found.

I put up a query in yahoo answers about the very last song. We’ll see if anyone knows it.

    15. # Emilie commented on September 25th, 2009:

@CoffeyCup: From the comments on here, I think I’m alone in not being terribly impressed by Boston. BUT, I will say – it was a memorable episode. :)

@Jeanette: So glad you found us! Welcome!

@Meilina & Mary: I think it’s called “Rise,” but haven’t been able to find the artist.

@Robin & Stephanie & PreciousJewlz: It’s called “Melt!” Flying Lotus - Los Angeles - Melt! by a band called Flying Lotus.

@Mada: You totally rock. Shout outs on the music page. Thanks.

    16. # Mada commented on September 27th, 2009:

Thanks Emilie for finding so many songs, I didn’t even noticed some of them. Also thanks for the credits, glad I could help.

    17. # Emilie commented on September 28th, 2009:

@Mada: Well, thanks for all of your help, too! During the show and immediately after, it’s hunting and searching and counting on detectives like you. :) It’s so hard not to have the answer to that burning, “What is that song?” question immediately.

    18. # Catesha commented on October 2nd, 2009:

Does anyone know the song the black guy krumping with dreads was dancing to? It was just an instrumental piece. The judges sent him to choreograpy and mentioned Lil C’s name. He had on a black top and jeans. Thanks. :)

    19. # Amanda commented on October 7th, 2009:

The Flying Lotus album Los Angeles, from which “Melt!” Flying Lotus - Los Angeles - Melt! was featured, is fantastic start to finish. Ya’ll who like the song should really check the rest out :)
