There’s no way Salt Lake City audition music can top the New Orleans audition music. But it can try and I’ll enjoy the attempt…

Opening: “Beast” Nico Vega - Nico Vega - Beast-Nico Vega

In the line: ”Move Like You Gonna Die Soon” Cobra Starship - Hot Mess (Deluxe Version) - Move Like You Gonna Die-Cobra Starship

Bryan Boyer (b-boy with the short red hair with black stripe): “Everyone Nose” N.E.R.D. - Seeing Sounds - Everyone Nose (All the Girls Standing In the Line for the Bathroom)-N.E.R.D.

Tristy Mirci (25 car accidents in 3 years) interview: “Stickshifts and Safety Belts” Cake - Fashion Nugget (Deluxe Version) - Stickshifts and Safetybelts-Cake

Tristy Mirci audition: “Already Gone” Kelly Clarkson - All I Ever Wanted (Deluxe Version) - Already Gone-Kelly Clarkson

Hayley Cloud (orange shirt, herniated disk – my favorite so far): “I Just Don’t Love You Anymore” Jann Arden - Time for Mercy - I Just Don't Love You Anymore-Jann Arden

Megan Kinney (Caitlin, from last season’s, sister, they went to Vegas together): “Everybody Knows” Elizabeth & The Catapult - Taller Children (Bonus Track Version) - Everybody Knows -Elizabeth & the Catapult (I just knew it!)

Genise Ridiaz (pink shorts, curly hair): also “Everybody Knows,” (which could have been the Sharon Robinson version, but wasn’t Sharon Robinson - Everybody Knows - Everybody Knows)

Montage of the girls: “Tik Tok” Kesha - TiK ToK - Single - TiK ToK-Ke$ha

Ariana Rowley (burlesque dancers with Voodoo Darlings) interview: “Lady Marmelade” Bruce, johnson - Le démon de midi - Lady marmelade-Bruce Johnson

Ariana Rowley strip routine: “Something Sweet Now” -Dave Tweedie & Oona Garthwaite (you know the deal – we’ll post a link when one’s available)

Iveta Lukoslute (Lithuanian blonde, “money growing on trees”): “Have You Ever Been in Love” Céline Dion - One Heart - Have You Ever Been In Love-Celine Dion

Choreography: “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)” Pitbull - I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho) - EP - I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho) [More English Extended Mix] -Pitbull

Vegas montage: “Say (Half Past Nine)” -Hot Chelle Rae (Here’s the song on YouTube till we can find a download)

2nd day, in line: “Hummingbird” Born Ruffians - Red, Yellow & Blue - Hummingbird-Born Ruffians

Pascal Nayigiziki (really delusional spasm dancer): “Weight of the World” -Dave Tweedie & Stephen Bradley

Couple montage: “Partners in Crime” Poets & Pornstars - Poets & Pornstars - Partners In Crime-Poets & Pornstars (not “Wherever We Go” Newsboys - Go - Wherever We Go-Newsboys like I thought at first)

Ashleigh & Ryan Di Lello (married couple, former competitors) interview: “You Are the Best Thing” Ray LaMontagne - Gossip In the Grain - You Are the Best Thing-Ray LaMontagne

Ashleigh & Ryan Di Lello audition: “Poker Face Lady GaGa - The Fame - Poker Face-Lady GaGa

Leigh Asay & Josh Murillo (she lost a toenail, auditioned before and he pulls faces): “Just Dance” Lady GaGa & Colby O'Donis - The Fame - Just Dance-Lady GaGa

Vegas montage: “I’m Alive” -Tina Parol (not on iTunes, but try her song “Who’s Got the Money” Tina Parol - Who's Got Your Money - Single - Who's Got Your Money in the meantime).

Alright, so there was a lot of really good music in this audition episode. But I missed some of it, especially the montages (girls, going to Vegas, 2nd day opener), so I need all the help I can get.

You can see all the SYTYCD music listed here.

What was the day one choreography montage music of those going to Vegas??

Shazam and Midomi are not working and Google comes up with nothing from the lyrics:

      “Come away with me tonight
Say say that you’re leaving with me
Say say say that you’re coming baby”

Did you notice that the Kelly Clarkson song was the one that was used for the girls exit videos on season 5? Took me back to last season just hearing it.

    3. # Jim commented on October 6th, 2009:

Same question as John — what was that song?????

    4. # fergie commented on October 7th, 2009:

the song from the girls montage is “tik tok” Ke$ha - TiK ToK - Single - TiK ToK by KE$HA

DUDE. I’ve just spent two full hours JUST searching for that damn song we can’t place! Who are you amazingly wonderful people who seek out random song snippets and obsess over idenitfying them? Wow. I assumed there were only about 0.5% of the population like me. It’s like the heavens have thrown a little bonus across my path to keep me going. ;) My rugged quest to search for the unsearchable has come upon her own kin. Haha…anyway, I had so many decent leads but not ONE has even hinted at which direction to go. This, as you may have guessed, is *very* rare in my premium expertise of virtual research and investigation. So it’s annoying and it sucks. My ego is so disappointed in myself lol. Somebody has to be able to help us here – this is ridiculous. Here are the only lyrics I could remember in time to write them down: “say say say say…we’ll be just fine…”
      OR is it:
      “stay stay stay stay… …fine…”
      OR is it:
“say it say it say it… …fine…”

These are the lyrics I’ve come up with: “come away with me and come waste time. say, say that you’re leaving with me. say, say, say that you’re coming with me tonight.” but I still can’t find anything. It’s killing me.

    7. # Marie commented on October 7th, 2009:

I was looking for the music during the good ballroom dancer’s montage. I couldn’t catch much of the lyric, but they were something like:
“the party won’t stop…tonight…see the sunlight…wa oh wa oh wa”

      Anyone help?

      Leah,
I assure you that there are many more like you. That’s why we do this list. Although we can’t take full credit. It’s people like yourself that help us out by listing songs they know in the comments that really helps. So, if you know of any of the songs we missed chip in. With everyone chipping in, we figure out most of the music.

On that note, we always list the latest music from SYTYCD: http://www.puresytycd.com/tag/so-you-think-you-can-dance-music/

      Ok, now back to searching.

@John & Jim & Leah & Tallula: That would be “Say (Half Past Nine)” -Hot Chelle Rae. I didn’t find it on iTunes, but here’s a YouTube link.

@John: Yup, I noticed that. :) I thought it was an interesting song choice for a girl who wasn’t going through to Vegas. “Already Gone.”

      @Fergie: Thanks! Great catch.

@Marie: That one is “Partners in Crime” Poets & Pornstars - Poets & Pornstars - Partners In Crime-Poets & Pornstars

@Leah: Welcome to the site where you may convene with your (our) obsessive brethern (aka .o5% of the population). I’m glad you found us. :)

I’m trying to locate any information on Pascal’s song: “Weight of the World” -Dave Tweedie & Stephen Bradley. Any direction you can give to finding a recording of this would be greatly appreciated – thanks!
