So You Think You Can Dance – First Vegas Episode Music
Already some amazing music in this first Vegas week episode. Lots and lots of music! Here’s what I’ve been able to find so far, hope you enjoy it.
Nathan Trasoras (contemporary dancer) solo: “Made Up Love Song #43” -Guillemots

First ten solo montage: “Shut Up and Let Me Go” -The Ting Tings
Montage with the married couple and Ryan Kasprzak: “Supabeat” -Sweet 17
Shelby “Skip” Skipper (New Orleans bounce): “Street Team Athem” -Big Choo
Allison Becker: “Moody” -Dave Tweedie
Thomas Hamilton: “Out There” -Dave Tweedie & Oona Garthwaite
Willem de Vries & Jacob Jason (same sex or “controversial” ballroom couple): “El Lado Oscuro” -La Extrema (this version not on iTunes, so here’s one by Jarabe de Palo )
Teddy Tedholm (the different guy with the crazy golf pants): “If It Kills Me” -Jason Mraz
Jean Lloret: “Wrath of Kane” -Big Daddy Kane
Nappytabs hip hop choreography: “Girls on the Dance Floor” -Far East Movement

Montage with Billy Billy & Christina Santana and Paula van Oppen & “Legacy”: “Beautiful Day” -Kerli
Ryan is cut: “Where It Ends” -16 Frames
John Litzler: “Potrero Road” -The Mother Hips
John dances for his life: “This Year’s Love” -David Gray
Legacy dances for his life: “Lady (You Bring Me Up)” -Commodores
Teddy & Skipper leaving, but Legacy sticking around: “What’s Good About Life -Amie Miriello (not on iTunes yet, but remember “Coldfront” ?)
77 dancers left as Vegas week continues next Wednesday.
Want all the music so far? See SYTYCD music listed here.
Actually, I think the song where John dances for his life is “This Year’s Love” by David Gray….
@Allonsy86: Guess what? You’re totally right. Dunno what I was thinking, linking to “White Ladder.”
Thanks Emilie for mentioning our song SUPABEAT that was used in tonight’s show. We’re so pumped they used it!
@Scooter: You’re welcome. Thanks for the groovy song and for making it available on iTunes so folks could download it the instant it grooved their ears. 🙂 I see that it’s track 1 on the disc available at cdbaby.com.
Sweet!! I always love it when an artist that has their music on SYTYCD stops by. Hopefully a bunch of people buy your music because of it.
What’s the song when Nathan Trasoras danced?
Hi Robyn: That would be “Made Up Love Song #43” -Guillemots
Thank you guys soooo much for cataloging the music from the show like this! I watch faithfully and I get a lot of it on my own, but every now and then I miss a song or two and it’s always a song I really want! You all are amazing!
What was the song that the male dance (forgot his name) climbed on the lighting equipment?
@Gabby: I’m so glad you found us. We’re all the same as you – just compulsive about the great music we hear, especially on SYTYCD. We get a lot of help from each other, from everybody who writes in. 🙂
@Lady J: That was Thomas Hamilton and he danced to “Out There” by Dave Tweedie and Oona Garthwaite.
Thank you soooo much!
You’re welcome. 🙂 Sorry I can’t point you in the direction of a download…(yet?)
That;s okay… I will keep looking too! 🙂

@Lady J: We may have good news soon…
@JJ: You don’t have to have an iPod, but you do need to download iTunes (for free) on your computer and then purchase the songs via iTunes (that is, if you use the links we provide y’all). Hope that helps.
thank youuuu! this was so helpful.
i always get mad when they dont show the track title and the artist!
@Sytygotpants: I love your name. ;”) And you’re welcome. I’m glad you find the site useful!
I am looking for the song title of when they intro the couples. It was mostly on before the top 10 were chosen. I sounds like a Rocky or a boxing song. Thanks!!!
