   I don’t see that it matters either way. It’s not like there’s only 4 choreographers in the U.S. Sure she’s fabulous and super talented, but the show won’t close without her. That is not to say I won’t miss seeing her talent on the show, but it won’t hurt the show one way or the other. Not in my opinion. People will still tune in to watch these great dancers.

   this sucks she always has some of the best routines every season and the show wont be the same without her

   i’ll miss mia for sure. i feel attached to all the judges. (with the exception maybe of the street lady whose name i can’t remember right now.) i appreciate mia’s honesty and the emotion that she puts into her choreography. she’s been a staple of the show all this time. but it’s also exciting to wonder what other choreographers this might pave the way for on the show.

   there should be an option on that poll that says something about this being a big loss, and IS a big deal. because it is.

   You’re right. That’s what I get for doing a poll late at night. I changed the poll to add that option. I knew something was missing when I did it.

   I think that people will still watch but I will definitely miss her beautiful choreography.

   We’re still trying to find more details on her departure. If we find something we’ll post it. If someone else finds something, please let us all know in the comments.

   Yes it is a big deal. Obviously we will still watch the show because of the incredible talent, and yes there are still plenty of great choreographers. But it isn’t just her creative talent that will be missed. She certainly brings a different element as a judge as well. One of the more interesting plot elements of last season was her dissing of one of the top male dancers and his redemption at the end when she finally “got it” as to why the other judges loved him. Not afraid to speak her mind even if it puts her in the in minority (remember Mary getting ticked off at her?), but always from the heart. Some people are so unique they leave their mark in more ways than one. She will be missed.

    Nice reminder about the Mia comments about Brandon. Although, now that she’s not on SYTYCD I wonder if she’ll tell us what she really thinks about Brandon. The makeup moment for Mia with Brandon felt too scripted for me.
