Hi, this is my first time posting, but i really wanted to say this. As much as some of the dances were disappointing, I was kind of happy to see some misses. Last season, it seemed like everyone was at least decent at everything and you didn’t have that unpredictability. I mean, last week, who would have thought Mollee and Nathan could have faltered so much.

and @ahs i really enjoyed the Broadway piece too, and if you watch the choreography, it wasn’t fit for a vixen, it was supposed to be childish.

I had really high hopes for the show last night, with fresh choreographers and new routines, and except for jakob/ashleigh and noelle/russell and legacy/kathryn, everyone else just kinda fell flat. here’s hoping tonight isn’t too painful. it’s gonna be tough to see who gets eliminated.

That was one of the poorest shows I’ve seen in a while. Noelle and Russell were good and Legacy and Kathryn was enjoyable but noone else really stood out.

Mollee and Nathan were particularly shocking – I honestly think they simply missed or aborted any number of moves in the latter half of the routine. (And I don’t think Mollee knows the meaning of the word sultry…). Both have thier fans though.

I also get the sinking feeling that Karen and Ashleigh are being cosseted a bit in the early rounds.

Channing/Victor, Elleanore/Ryan and Pauline/Peter for my bottom 3 couples.

@Amanda: I think he said “Russian folk jazz,” which cracked me up. And yeah, I totally wished Jeanine and Phillip would’ve jumped out when he said the magic words “Russian folk.” They were there last night, how come they didn’t? ;”) That would’ve been too cute.

Hi all! I’m new!

Last night, I voted for half the couples:
Jakob/Ashleigh, who have been consistently good.
Victor/Channing, because I like Victor, because this was the first time Channing seemed even remotely interested in her partner, and because I don’t think the judges gave them enough credit. I know the dancer’s styles come into play, but it annoys me that a well-performed contemporary routine gets basically no credit because the dancers are contemporary, whereas an insanely amateurish cha cha like Kevin did two weeks ago is forgiven because he’s a hip hop dancer.
Ryan/Ellenore, because I really like them both and I think Nigel was too hard on them.
Russell/Noelle, who were fantastic.

I almost voted for Legacy/Kathyn, but I really dislike Legacy, even though he’s good.

I knew I was definitely not voting for Kevin and Karen, because after two weeks of the judges basically giving Kevin a pass on poor performances, I think he needed to be held accountable.

I can’t wait to see what happens tonight. Really, just like you said in your post Emilie, there are so many ways that things can go!

I’m surprised by my favorites now. I was determined not to like Nathan or Jakob due to their popularities (I like the underdogs! ) and I didn’t like Kathryn, Legacy or Ashleigh due to what we saw of them in Vegas.

Now, I have to say that Kathacy has been amazing, Ashleigh is growing steadily in my books (starting to remind me of S6’s “Melisser”) and Nathan and Jakob I think really deserve whatever fanbases they have (I was really blown away by Jakob in the jazz last night – talk about performance AND technique! Whew!

Personally, I think that Kevin and Karen will end up in the B3. As much as Karen is hyped by the judges, their routine wasn’t very memorable and I don’t see Kevin as having a huge fanbase yet. I think Peter and Pauline may be in trouble (despite doing amazing with that Quickstep!) and I personally hope that Channing and Victor can be in the B3. I’m tired of the judges saving Channing after having dismal performance. I love Stacey Tookey, and I thought the choreography was amazing, but there was something quite evidently missing in that routine.

Yay S6 and a fabulous group of dancers!

James – I couldn’t agree with you more. I do think that Peter and Pauline will be going home just because the judges don’t seem to like them much. I hope that Victor and Channing go home though, as an overall pair they are my least fave. And did it seem like Nathan & mollee just phoned it in last night. Neither one seemed to care much about the routine or the judges comments. I’m actually liking Ellenore more each week so I hope she’ll pull through. I would be surprised if the judges dump Nathan/Mollee or Ellenore/Ryan this early in the season. Maybe if they dance poorly next week then they’ll deserve to go.
