Did anybody consider that Nigel’s frustration with Nathan might not have begun with this week’s performance?

This is the kid who tried out a season early, fully knowing the rules, hoping they wouldn’t apply to him… so it’s not a stretch that he may not be the most humble person off the set this season.

I thought Nigel’s delivery was wrong, but his content was right. I’m glad he apologized, but I hope his message isn’t lost. I like Nathan, and fully expect him to make the Top 10… but I would like to see him grow as well.

I thought Ellenore’s solo was great! I loved it! I was so surprised to hear Nigel bashing all the solos. I thought it was clever and unique. I feel like they go back and forth on what they are looking for in solos. Maybe i just don’t have that eye that sees what they see. Because I can love a solo and they will hate it and vise versa. I thought Peter’s was a lot better than Ryan’s. Ryan seemed so frantic and desperate with that cheesy smile across his face.

wow, I totally forgot that Jeanine and Mollee are the same age! You would never guess when you watch them dance, plus Jakob is 19!
I did feel for Pauline, she kind of got shafted, having to change partners every time.
@Emilie, I’m with you, I was sad to see Peter go. He had a quality about it, where he just made me smile whenever I saw him dance. Yes, he wasn’t the most technically gifted, but he worked so hard. He did so well in the Wade Robson piece, I wish we could have seen him for a couple more weeks. But I think he got stuck in a Jesus from S3-type situation. Jesus left simply because the other 2 guys in the bottom were Neil and Danny, and it was week 3 (wow that’s ironic) and it was pretty obvious Neil and Danny weren’t going anywhere.

@Christine: Hey, maybe they’ll bring Peter on Glee! He can be the football player we haven’t seen much of yet… Can he sing, too? I hate to stereotype, but Italian? With those blues eyes? He *has* to sing! Lol. I think Top 20 would be a morass of dancers and we wouldn’t get to see much of our favorites. BUT, I appreciate the sentiment. I want Peter back, anyway, anyhow.

@Kevin: But *how* can America find the “best” dancer when we’ll never agree on who that is? John and I think alike a lot, but even we were in disagreement last night. He felt more saddened by Pauline, I felt more saddened by Peter. What does “best” mean? To me, it means someone who makes me want to watch them dance. Or dance with them.

@Rachel: I think he will apologize. Beneath it all, Nigel is a classy guy. He Twittered that he got carried on. Ditto on Dave Scott!!

@Hakim: Man, I love Mollee, but I’m starting to really agree with you there about her maturity. She’s the same age as Jeanine was on the show! Jeanine can really smolder. Mollee doesn’t know how to be anything but cute. And maybe it’s wrong to be mad at a young girl for being cute instead of sexy, but I don’t think that’s an inappropriate expectation of a dancer. Hear ya on Ade/Brandon.

@Mayor: You’re so right about Pauline. It sucks she never got a chance to form a strong partnership.

Nigel has apologized via Twitter for his comments both on the performance show and last night, and I’m glad, he let his emotions get the best of him at the performance show, Nathan is an 18 year old kid!
@Hakim, I’m not Mollee’s biggest fan either, but I’m willing to give her a week or two more, if she doesn’t start to live up to the potential I know she has, then I’ll be thinking it’s her time to go.
I hope that the solos improve from last night. I agree that Ade had some awesome solos last year, but what about Travis and Danny and Benji and Nick and Blake?! I mean, Blake did a backflip and physically changed direction in his top 6 solo! A post from me should be coming up today that has that clip, it’s incredible.

I think that Nigel was trying to imply that Nathan has the potential and he expects more from him…..pushing him. He seemed to be hinting that if Nathan and Mollee were in the bottom, they would have saved Nathan. Mollee needs to go. Poor Pauline – she has had one situation after another, first Billy left because he was ill, then she had to perform with Brandon with 1 1/2 days of rehearsal, then she gets Phillip, and finally Peter. She didn’t have any chance to develop a connection with any partner!!!

i agree with mel. i wish mollee had gone. she’s too immature. she’s a good dancer but she doesn’t have what it takes to sell the dance. seriously lacking character.
im really not liking where SYTYCD is going. its failing across the board. music editing and mixing is bad. they need to bring back guest judges. adam’s great but a difference of opinion is better. don’t get me started with the camera angles. can hardly watch the dance properly.

im gonna get knocked down because of this.. but i think ade dosnt get the credit he deserves. he’s so much more innovative and creative a dancer compared to brandon + he has the technique to boot. brandon is really good but he’s sooo jazz 101.
