Australian Ratings – Australian Open Men’s Tennis Final wins by over a Million

Roger Federer didn’t just beat Andy Murray on Sunday night. He also walloped the Australia-Pakistan one-day cricket, So You Think You Can Dance and House.

Channel 7’s telecast of the Australian Open men’s final averaged 2.352 million viewers nationally, including 844,000 in Melbourne.

Federer-Murray more than doubled Nine’s audience for the evening session of the fifth Australia-Pakistan clash, which averaged 863,000 nationally, So You Think You Can Dance averaged 1.166 million viewers.

Nationally, the overall tennis ratings were down 21 per cent on last year.

In Melbourne, they were down 26 per cent on last year.
