HOLLA!
so excited. Unfortunately the Chicago dates are during like the worst week ever for me so I am going to the St. Louis show with my moms. We went last year and had a blast! can’t wait for this year, although I’ll be missing some dancers I wish could have been on it from this season and last.
BUT the good news is I will get to meet some peeps from previous seasons that I never got to because I didn’t go to the tours before (Allison, Dom, Kathryn) Gah I wish Twitch was on it. and mark. and neil. and lauren. and pasha. etc. 🙂
hey John, I’m pretty sure I can go to the San Jose show in Nov. were we going to try and do some sort of press passes? I know we tried to get me one for the SJ show last year but it didn’t work out.
Kayla,
That’s awesome. I’d love to go to a show with my mom. Although, I’ll like it with my wife as well;-)
Margaret,
We’re working on them. I actually have an email into AEG who does the tour to see about access right now. I’ll let you know what they say.
I was able to get in last year in Las Vegas. It was quite the experience. I think the dancers actually loved having my interview them since I actually knew everything about them. Most the time I think the press is local Fox affiliate stations who might not know much about them. I remember after I stopped recording Jeanine’s interview, she said, “That was fun.”
I think we have a good chance of making it happen this year for all of the Pure SYTYCD writers.
@John – i figure since she is actually the one who got me into the show in Season 2….she’s the best person to go with 🙂
sounds awesome!! especially because the only dancer I saw last year who would be back is Ade, it will be great to go in seeing routines I didn’t see last year.
@Kayla: I’m going with my mom, too! We went together at the Duluth (Atlanta) date last year.
@John: I know what you mean. It was me and the Fox affiliate folks last year and I think the dancers enjoyed talking to somebody who watched the show. 🙂 The Times-Picayune guy who attended the New Orleans auditions (Dave Walker) was knowledgeable, but I think the t.v. folks just get bullet points prepared by a production assistant, instead of doing their own research.
@Margaret: It’ll be nice to see Ade again and even nicer to see the All-Stars I didn’t see on tour (since last year’s was my first). There ARE a lot of people I wish I could see live, as Kayla said in her first comment. But alas. So much of a good thing to choose from.
I wish I wrote for the website so I could get press passes!! I am dying to find two VIP/Backstage passes so I can actually meet the dancers!! I am going to Boston with one of my friends from school (I wanted to go with my mom but she couldn’t make it up on a Monday with work), but we are starving college students and had to buy not-so-great seats. Last year, the dancers came out at 12:30, and I don’t know if I can stay this year because I have an 8:00 class!! I’ve been asking the dancers for passes, but I’m trying to ask everyone I can think of!
Rebecca,
Great devotion. I’m still hoping to get some myself. Last year I had to go up in the middle of the day to interview the dancers. Although, it was well worth it. Incredibly fun!
