Dance is one of my biggest passions. I grew up dancing at Augusta West Dance Studio (the same studio that Kathryn McCormick). I have a BFA in theatre/dance from Valdosta State University. Tap is my favorite style of dance.
Congrats to Mia! Anyways, (unrelated to subject) I think I’ve come up with a nickname for the cast of season 7. Ya’ll ready to hear it? (Please don’t laugh)
7-11!!!!! x)
HA HA HA, like the store! 😀 I thought of this just now. 7, because it was season 7, and 11 because there were 11 dancers. What do you think? *snorts*
wow Amanda! You got this up so fast it’s not even on Wikipedia yet!! haha. but this is a well deserved win for Mia Michaels, Addiction, in my opinion, is one of the best pieces ever done on SYTYCD. She’s also recognized for “Koop Island Blues” and “One”, two very clever, original pieces.
While I would have loved to have seen Travis Wall nominated for “If It Kills Me,” this win makes me really happy for the SYTYCD family.
Hopefully the nominating committee will begin to recognize some of the younger choreographers next year, people like Stacey, Spencer, and Travis represent the great things that are ahead for dance. Major congratulations to Mia 🙂
yeah I just happened to log on to twitter at the right time. The pic is from Mia herself and her date was Brian Freedman. Pls Chelsie tweeted about it too. So it was pure luck on my part.
So deserved! It’s one of my favorite pieces for sure!
Yes, yes, yes!
That is one of the dances I often go back to. Every little move Kupono and Kayla makes is just poetry.
