Does anyone know the name & artist for the song the amnesia girl danced to?

SO friggin’ good. :-) Loving the montage dancers.

I’m interested to know what song Chyna Lee Smith danced to. She was early in the show, the blonde from Idaho who engulfed Nigel with a hug when she got her plane ticket. Anyone know?

I’m updating the music with a little help from our readers.

Anyone know the name of the song Chase Thomas danced to? I KNOW I’ve heard it before, but I just can’t place it!

I want to know the song that Chyna Lee Smith danced to as well! Help! I was trying to disect the song and look it up but with no luck :(

  7. # Emilie commented on June 1st, 2011:

@Jessica: I haven’t found it yet, but click on the link above your comment later and one of our readers will probably come through with the song.

@Autumn: The full list of music is available at the link I posted above your comment. Amanda helped me remember that Chyna danced to Santogold’s “You’ll Find a Way” – You'll Find a Way - Santigold

I’m so happy Jess the broadway dancer made it through. I agree with the judges he needs to perform more or be more animated.

As for the Krumper Brian well I wish Lil’ C was on the pannel. I agree with Mary you should never put down another dancer. Blake did that in the first season.

    In all another good episode

I also LOVED the song Chase Thomas danced to, but haven’t found the title anywhere!
I hope you can help me!

Do you have a video of the irish dancer,Mary Kate Sheehan’s audition? It was soo beautiful and I would like to post it on Facebook for my friends to see:)

  12. # Amanda commented on June 1st, 2011:

Oh loved loved loved the father/daughter moment that Nigel created tonight.

And can’t forget Miss Starr and I think she and her father have a few screws loose…lol

I wanna know the song that crazy chick Brittany Starr danced too????

Also, there was a song last week i wanted to know too, but cant remember who it was now!

What was the song that Kristen Dobson danced to?

  15. # Anne commented on June 1st, 2011:

Loved it! Robert Taylor Jnr was so entertaining. There was some real talent overall. I wasn’t so impressed with the Krumper who dissed Lil C’ and Russell. I just saw a cool interview with Lil’ C today at http://www.danceinforma.com/USA_magazine/
He spoke about brining urban dance to the people, which is a great thing, but the Krumper tonight give Lil’ C garbage for doing this…..hmmmm

  16. # Emilie commented on June 1st, 2011:

@Amanda: I’m with you about Jess, though I felt that he was a bit cocky. But he’s a great dancer and I think the process will make him a better one. I also loved the father/daughter dance. Laughed my butt off, in the best way. They’re both good!

@Celeste: Keep checking back, we’ll find it. All of tonight’s episode’s music will be here: http://www.puresytycd.com/2011/06/01/salt-lake-citynyc-audition-musi-sytycd-season-8/

@Jeanne Dove: I’m not sure about videos of the Irish dancer, but check out Rickey.org. He usually does videos of SYTYCD.

@mariah: Check out the link I just gave Celeste. We’re putting all of tonight’s music there once we find it. Samantha auditioned to Justin Nozuka’s “After Tonight” – After Tonight - Holly

@Megan and Dave: I haven’t found them yet, but bookmark the link I just gave Celeste and mariah. They’ll be there when we find them. Let us know if you find them first! @Megan: Last week’s music is all here: http://www.puresytycd.com/2011/05/26/so-you-think-you-can-dance-season-8-premiere-atlantaoakland-auditions/

@Anne: Thanks for sharing that link!

I live down the road from the Dublin (OH) Irish Festival – one of the larger Irish festivals in the US. I’ve seen a lot of mediocre to poor Irish dancing there, so it was quite refreshing to see the girl who auditioned. That was spectacular. Also nice to see the “other styles” ballet/tap/irish audition. Usually we seem to see contemporary and hip-hop.

  18. # Chia commented on June 1st, 2011:

Kristen Dobson danced to Bacco Perbacco Bacco Perbacco - Fly by Zucchero. It’s Italiano!

  19. # Paula commented on June 1st, 2011:

Brittney Starr danced to Britney Spears’ Toy Soldier Toy Soldier - Blackout (Bonus Track Version).

[...] Brittney Starr (the delusional “daughter of Ringo Starr”): Britney Spears’s “Toy Soldier” – , according to our reader Paula. [...]

  21. # Emilie commented on June 1st, 2011:

Everyone looking for the Chase Thomas song. Avaryl, one of our readers found it and it’s posted on the music page. It’s Sam Bisson’s “Nuit Blanche” – Nuit Blanche - Soundtrack - Nuit Blanche - Soundtrack

  22. # Jessica commented on June 2nd, 2011:

Aha! :D I saw “Nuit Blanche” a few months ago while Stumbling! That explains why I was visualizing a little cafe when I heard the music XD

  23. # Emilie commented on June 2nd, 2011:

@Jessica: Isn’t that short film amazing? I put a link to it on the music page if you want to re-watch it (or if anyone else wants to see it – it’s worth the 4 minutes, for sure!)

  24. # Johan commented on June 2nd, 2011:

Some good dancing this episode, to be sure…

But why, oh why, waste precious time on the poor delusional Starr family that could have been used to show some of the better dancers from the montages?

  25. # Emilie commented on June 2nd, 2011:

@Johan: I agree 1000%. More good dancers! Less delusional wackos.

  26. # Lilly commented on June 3rd, 2011:

It feels like I’ve seen the delusional Brittney Starr somewhere else, like AI or something, but maybe I’m crazy too? ;)

  27. # Emilie commented on June 3rd, 2011:

@Lilly: You are NOT delusional. I’ve definitely seen her around “reality” before. Probably American Idol if I had to guess.

  28. # Bethany commented on June 4th, 2011:

She danced to “You’ll find a way” by Santigold. I know her personally and she is an incredible person and dancer! Expect great things! :)
