Boo to Nigel for that answer! He totally didn’t address why they’re choosing who goes home after we got to Top 10. And then he “blamed” complaints on people not voting. It sucks to vote and still have your favorite in jeopardy, so I didn’t like that answer at all. Mary was funny, though. And poor Jordan, so bummed but cheering herself up about the finale and the tour. This interviews are great – thanks for doing them and sharing them with us!
Great interviews… I guess I can see why they want to maintain some control over both the finale and the winner. It’s been a real emotional roller-coaster each week watching some incredibly talented dancers being eliminated and I’m only a fan. Gosh, this season went by so fast, after taking what seemed like an eternity to get here. I really wish it lasted longer or that there would be a fall season again. Can’t believe it’s almost finale time
I agree with you Emilie about Nigel’s explanation. It’s like he forgot that up until season 6, once we hit the Top 10 the guy and girl with the lowest votes were sent home and the judges had no more say (season 7 was different because we started out with 11 dancers instead of 20). Since the tour lineup i secured and won’t be influenced by further eliminations, I don’t know what stock he and the panel has in making further decisions. I just want to know why in previous Top 20 seasons they bowed out at the mid-way point but not now.
