Who would have thought that Wade Robson can also dance? Ok, maybe Mia Michaels just ruined the idea of a choreographer dancing. This is a pretty cool commercial by Wade Robson. I guess Wade was famous before So You Think You Can Dance. Wade definitely deserves all he gets. He’s a genius.

I must admit that until tonight I hadn’t really noticed Lauren Gottlieb on So You Think You Can Dance. I’m not sure exactly why. She really is something else. This has to be one of the hottest solos ever on So You Think You Can Dance. Lauren looks amazing. I’m just not sure why I didn’t notice Lauren’s potential way back when. I think Lauren will pick it up now.

Hok on So You Think You Can Dance Tour

I really lamented the fact that Hok got kicked off before making it to the final 10 dancers. Why? Because I think that Hok would be the best addition to the tour. Well, according to an article by TV Guide, Hok will be on the So You Think You Can Dance Tour.

What happens is that Hok and Anya are sent home. And it is doubly painful for them and their fans because — as we were reminded numerous times between Wednesday’s performance show and the imminent results — only the top 10 will be invited to perform in the 50-plus cities on the series’ national tour.

Or so the producers would have you think. After the show, a truer picture emerges. “The two who went out today will be the alternates on the tour,” says judge Mary Murphy. “We always have to have two or three alternates go along, so I don’t think the fans are going to be disappointed in that department. Hok will be out there by popular demand. And I think Anya will be there, too, if they’ll both sign up to do it. And I’m sure they will.”

While it is true that they will be on the tour, Hok certainly won’t get the spotlight that he deserves. Well, hopefully someone like Danny won’t sign up for the tour and Hok can hop in his place.

Dancing with The Stars Is Amazing - Well Really Just Dancing

Ok, so really I just have a complete fascination and love for dancing. Before I got married I would go dancing at least 2-3 times a week. I must admit that I think it’s probably the thing I miss most from my single days at BYU. I can’t really blame my wife, because I love country dancing and there just isn’t the same country dancing available outside of Utah. Utah has a number of nice locations to do country dancing. And all you naive people that translate country dancing to line dancing, WAKE Up!! Sure, I don’t mind doing a line dance here or there. It can be pretty fun. However, I’m talking about so much more than line dancing. I’m talking about partner dancing like 2 step, waltz, cowboy cha cha, west coast swing and what I like to call street swing.

Don’t get me wrong, I didn’t say anything about being a good dancer, but I can lead a girl around the floor. I did get a chance to dance a little at the conference I went to in Texas. That was pretty fun, but still wasn’t the pairs dancing I really like. I’m also lucky that my sister has started to get into country dancing and so when I visit Utah I can take my little sister and go dancing.

Anyway, I digress. For now, I’m just sticking with my addiction to watching dancing on TV. Right now I’m talking about Dancing with the Stars. The professionals are amazing and do a fantastic job making the “stars” look great. If you watch the dancing by the professionals and don’t just love it then we think very differently. That’s ok. Just know that I’m right and you’re wrong.

I still have been following the So You Think You Can Dance Tour reviews, videos etc. I’m excited for next year’s So You Think You Can Dance, but I just don’t think it will be quite the same. This year was too good.

Benji Schwimmer Heaven

Benji Schwimmer is still going strong (at least until the So You Think You Can Dance Tour ends). Although, by that point the next season of So You Think You Can Dance will have started and he’ll be made popular by the next season of So You Think You Can Dance.
