Sorry that this is getting posted a little late. Both Emilie and I are traveling right now. Plus, I had issues last night at the hotel I’m staying at. Better late than never I guess. Hopefully you’ll all be forgiving. Here’s the list of music from the SYTYCD 2009 top 12:

We just said goodbye to Channing and Kevin, but I thought I’d post their “signature moves” from the SYTYCD website. I like both of the moves, and Kevin shows some personality! It would have been fun to see these two continue to grow out the show, but I have no doubt they have big careers ahead of them.

I want Ariana to come back so much – but it would be at the expense of Noelle Marsh, due to her injury (and who knows if she’d be allowed to come back later since she didn’t really get to compete in the Top 20). So I thought I would remind myself why I like Noelle Marsh, too, and I watched this YouTube video of her dancing with another dancer named Karla Allen. Enjoy!

It’s time for the predictions of the So You Think You Can Dance Season 6 couples. Yes, this is really serious business. You partner on So You Think You Can Dance can completely change how well you do on the show (for good and bad). Will we see an amazing couple like Benji and Donyelle? Will we see interesting couples like Allison and Ivan? Oh the combinations we could talk about.

Also, I can’t help, but say that this website has the best readers/commenters. They’re amazing. On that note, I asked one of the readers of this site, Christine, if she’d predict the SYTYCD season 6 couples. Here’s her predictions:

This is based on heights (from what I could see), personality dynamic, and a combination of power couples and underdog couples. Also genre diversity would help, but there’s a whole lot of contemporary girls. I could be a little biased for some of them, and I understand that some of them appeared to have great chemistry together on camera, but it doesn’t mean they get paired together sadly.

This is what I’ve been waiting for! Who are you looking forward to seeing again in Vegas? I’ll tell you some of my favorites and ask John and our other writers (and YOU!) to chime in with theirs. As folks have pointed out in comments recently, you can’t always predict who’ll get to the Top 20 or go to the very end when the auditions are over. It’s not always the best dancers who get the most camera time up till this point. And then – WHAM! – a Jeanine just grabs your attention and holds onto it.

Well, let’s see how we do predicting early favorites anyway. I’m going to try to limit myself to two dancers from each city.

I was a bit prejudiced in favor of the girls. Only three guys took my top slots. And there are 152 dancers going to Vegas, so as John pointed out, we’ve probably only seen half of them.
