Brandon Bryant SYTYCD 2009 Audition
Ok, so the crying by Mary was so over the top. No doubt Brandon Bryant is a great dancer. His choreography was great as well. His dancing matched the song. He has a strong chance at the SYTYCD 2009 top 20. Brandon Bryant will be one that’s fun to watch in Las Vegas.

I have to say that I like Mary. She’s fun and quirky, to me. I can understand how she would grate on others’ nerves, though. 😉
Blah, she feels fake and totally contrived to me. She occasionally offers some small insight on the ballroom stuff, but otherwise offers nothing of value. Don’t get me started on her screaming and incessant laughing.
Back to the good part. Brandon Bryant was awesome!
He was, indeed. Another favorite of mine were the two brothers who danced together, though one of them was too young to actually try out for the show. That performance was fun and I was disappointed when he wasn’t able to make it past the choreography. Hope he broadens his repertoire and auditions again.
Elias Holloway and Enoch Holloway were really entertaining. I’m sure they’ll come back in future years. Would be nice if they both made it on the show at the same time at some point in the future.
Did he choose that music I wonder? He crammed a lot of variety of movement into that audition, but there was something odd about the timing for me.
Joanna,
I think that Brandon Bryant had to be dancing to the music he chose. It was far too precise for that music to have been overlayed. SYTYCD is good at putting in other music than the original music used, but it was too dead on in multiple places for it not to be the music he chose I think.
Beautiful performance. I felt, at times, there was just a little too much. But then again, it is an audition and one has to try and show off everything they can do. And every single movement was perfect.
