Vote for the So You Think You Can Dance Season 5 Winner
Time again to share your love for your favorite dancer. You’ve seen them all perform (if you’re on the east coast) and outlast all of the other dancers. So, the question just remains which of the SYTYCD top 4 will be America’s favorite dancer. Vote for your favorite and it will be interesting to see if readers of Pure SYTYCD can predict the actual winner of So You Think You Can Dance season 5.
I just have to say that I thought Jeanine was phenomenal this evening. Not one wrong move. I mean, I knew she was good and all, but she was unreal tonight…
I think that it’ll come down to Brandon and Jeanine…that is, if the voters vote as I would, of course, which isn’t likely to happen! 🙂
Jeanine was SCARY good tonight. That pirouette! Her center hasn’t always been perfect, but man that time it was dead center. Yow. It certainly blew Adam away.
Brandon and Kayla not only did an amazing pirouette – they did it in sync. Never saw a movement like that on the show before. Brandon makes all his partners look terrific because he is an amazingly good dancer. Brandon for the win!
Agreed with both of you! Jeanine was friggin’ AMAZING tonight. She really, really showed everyone how capable she is of taking home the title this season. Pirouette blew me away.
Aside from that, I felt pretty bad for Evan. Those comments can’t be keeping his morale up very much and I think he was REALLY feeling the pressure now that it’s narrowed down to three other amazingly skilled and strong dancers.
The performance that really stood out for me was Mia’s piece with Kayla and Jeanine. The fact that it was danced by two terrifyingly strong dancers, made it even better.
LOVED THIS EPISODE!
Jeanine was awesome tonight.
Brandon and Kayla’s pirouettes were great, but one of them was off. Kayla came out before Brandon. Almost perfection.
Weakest performance of the night was Brandon and Evan. There were out of sync at least a half dozen times. Not sure who was missing the beat. I’ll have to watch the replay to see for sure.
Kayla and Jeanine were the highlights of tonight for me with Brandon’s solo being really strong again. I hope that means we have a girl winner this season. I think Nigel’s comments make me think that Kayla hasn’t done as well as far as voting. Luckily, my site has done very well thanks to Kayla. Tons of people searching for Kayla on Google.
I’m goin with brandon. In my opinion, the other 3 can’t touch him, be it in personality, technique, or versatility. That being said, I really do like Jeanine anyway and wouldn’t be too mad if she won.
I’m wondering if the population of this sight is slightly less “Evan-crazy” than the whole of America is. Last week he was near the bottom of our poll but not bottom two of the shows.
Mandy,
It could definitely have some bias. Although, it’s interesting to note that most of my searches are for Kayla and yet she’s not doing as well. So, take that for what it’s worth.
@John–
I rewatched the fouettes by Brandon and Kayla, and I think Kayla slowed down. At first I thought that Brandon sped up, but after going through it a couple of times, I think he was on count and she wasn’t. But, I don’t know what Tyce wanted (triple pirouette or double out), because Brandon tripled and ended on the 1 count and Kayla doubled and ended on the 2. I would say it was probably a triple, but given that Brandon’s turns overall were off last night to me, it may have been his bad.
Kayla’s technique on the turns was better though.
(I mean Kayla doubled and ended on the 8. Oops.)
Mandy, I’d be willing to bet that a lot of Evan’s fans aren’t go-on-the-internet-and-read-the-blogs types, and that’s where the upset in polls vs. results comes from. But that’s just a guess.
