Top SYTYCD Music of 6/13 – 6/20
We’re going to start doing a new weekly post here at PureSYTYCD. Each Sunday, I’m going to post which songs were the post popular here at PureSYTYCD during the previous week. They don’t necessarily have to be songs that were featured in that week’s episodes, but will instead be your most sought-out music. Accordingly, each song’s artist/title will link back to the original episode music post that featured it. Think of it as a SYTYCD Top 10.
With no further ado, here we go.
Top SYTYCD Music 6/13-6/20
2. Florence + the Machine’s “Addicted to Love” cover –
3. Lissie’s “Everywhere I Go” –
4. Max Richter and Dinah Washington “This Bitter Earth/On the Nature of Daylight” –
5. Telepathe’s “Lights Go Down” –
6. Sam Sparro’s “Black & Gold” – (STILL!)
7. Rebecca Sayre’s “New Girl” –
9. Kate Nash’s “Nicest Thing” –
10. Craig Armstrong’s “Ruthless Gravity” –
You know, here in New Orleans, we have this concept called lagniappe (something extra thrown in for free) and since the difference between #10 and #11 was only 2 clicks (and #12 was tied with #11), here is your lagniappe:
11. Ryan Calhoun’s “Who We Are” –
12. Portishead’s “The Rip” –
I can’t wait to see what your top songs are next week – not to mention which new songs are going to capture our interest this week. You can take a look at all Season 7’s music here.
Do they use the same exit song every week? Or is there a new one depending on who is exiting?
The song 7th Heaven by Destani Wolf, featured during Megan Carter’s audition was released today! Check out the Song here: http://www.destaniwolf.bandcamp.com
Pass the link on. Thank you so much for the support! Nice audition Megan!
@Marissa: In the past, they’ve used the same song for all the girls and had a different song for the guys. I will let you know if it’s a different song this Thursday.
@Destani: Thanks for keeping us updated! Best of luck!

@Marissa: It’s the same song. Black Gold’s “Shine” –

Thanks so much! I am curious if the song will be used for the guys as well. I guess a guy would have to be eliminated first 🙂
@Marissa: And who knows when that’ll happen? You’re welcome. 🙂
Hey Marissa and Emilie…I am new to the show and was wondering if the band or artist that does the send off song ever get to perform live on the show?
I donno? that would be cool though–maybe like perform it live as they are doing the send off on the last episode? heehee. We should petition!
@Stephen: Because SYTYCD doesn’t helpfully flash up the title and artist of their farewell songs, I had to do my research to find Back Gold’s “Shine.” Therefore, I know that they have a shiny MySpace page with other music and a list of their performances.
