So You Think You Can Dance 2013 Premiere Music
As most of you know, we’ve always done our best here at Pure SYTYCD to list all of the various music that’s used on SYTYCD. Unfortunately, all of us are quite busy with the day jobs and so we won’t be able to be nearly as good at listing the music on SYTYCD this year as we have done in the past. That is unless someone wants to volunteer to help us out (Drop me a note here if you’re interested).
With that said, that doesn’t mean that readers of this site can’t help each other out. In fact, in the past the community has been an excellent support in helping us all learn the various music learned on SYTYCD. So, for SYTYCD 2013 we’re asking you to help in the comments. If you know the music that was used on the show, then please share so that others can find the music. I’ll do my best to add it to the post when a song is confirmed as well.
With that bit of business aside, I have to say that this might have been one of the best SYTYCD premiere’s I’ve seen in the 9 seasons I’ve been watching SYTYCD. Some really extraordinary dancing. Some funny comments. Some amazing stories. I watch for all of those things and the So You Think You Can Dance 2013 premiere had all three.
What did you think about the show tonight? Was it what you expected? Who was your favorite?
Also, check back tomorrow when I’m hoping to finally get some video interviews posted of Cat Deeley, Nigel Lythgoe, tWitch, Mary Murphy, and Adam Shankman.
Thanks to Syndey, Mchelle, and Slowergent for the help on this list:

Which was the choreography round music?
[…] did quite good listing the music from last night’s So You Think You Can Dance 2013 premiere episode. Hopefully we can do the same again […]
Choreography round music is Atwater Men’s Club – My Life’s A Dream
.
By the way, My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark and Light ‘Em Up are the same song; you can remove one from the list. 🙂
Oona’s and My song Metropolis
was used also.
It’s been a few seasons since we’ve had a
a placement so we are excited to be included
in the season opener.

The choral piece Elijah performed to is ‘I Lie’
a composition by David Lang. The version used in the audition can be found on ‘I Want to Live’ available on itunes.
You left out song for Elijah Laurant; the guy with the ruffled neck thing
nvm I found it
Thanks for all the help everyone. I know a lot of people have visited the page and downloaded the music, so your help is appreciated by many.
Dave,
It’s great to have yours and Oona’s music back on SYTYCD. Are you still writing the short pieces of music for them? Your reply to Emilie’s letter was a great moment for this site: https://www.puresytycd.com/2009/10/13/dave-tweedie-letter-and-the-weight-of-the-world-free-mp3-download/
