Those of us on the west coast are still waiting for the second night of the SYTYCD 2013 premiere to start. However, many on the east coast are already itching to talk about the music from tonight’s episode of SYTYCD season 10. So, I thought I’d start a thread for people to leave a list of the music they know from tonight’s episode of SYTYCD.

Next up in our SYTYCD 2013 judges interviews is tWitch. That’s right, tWitch is a guest judge on SYTYCD 2013 in Detroit. Pretty amazing that he’s gone from not even making SYTYCD Vegas week, to being on the show, to being a SYTYCD All Star and now a SYTYCD judge. Plus, it seems that the world can’t get enough of tWitch. Plus, how great that him and Allison Holker are together!

Cat Deeley has certainly had quite a journey on SYTYCD. I can’t imagine having a better host for the show. She’s been wonderful. Plus, she’s great on camera as you’ll see in the following interview with Cat Deeley about SYTYCD 2013. She also makes an interesting point about SYTYCD being on Fox. Enjoy the Cat Deeley interview!
As most of you know, we’ve always done our best here at Pure SYTYCD to list all of the various music that’s used on SYTYCD. Unfortunately, all of us are quite busy with the day jobs and so we won’t be able to be nearly as good at listing the music on SYTYCD this year as we have done in the past. That is unless someone wants to volunteer to help us out (Drop me a note here if you’re interested).
With that said, that doesn’t mean that readers of this site can’t help each other out. In fact, in the past the community has been an excellent support in helping us all learn the various music learned on SYTYCD. So, for SYTYCD 2013 we’re asking you to help in the comments. If you know the music that was used on the show, then please share so that others can find the music. I’ll do my best to add it to the post when a song is confirmed as well.
With that bit of business aside, I have to say that this might have been one of the best SYTYCD premiere’s I’ve seen in the 9 seasons I’ve been watching SYTYCD. Some really extraordinary dancing. Some funny comments. Some amazing stories. I watch for all of those things and the So You Think You Can Dance 2013 premiere had all three.

SYTYCD 2013 premiere is a 2 night event Tuesday, May 14 (8:00-9:00 PM ET/PT) and Wednesday, May 15 (9:00-10:00 PM ET/PT) on FOX.
As if all of you weren’t already excited for the premiere of the 10th season of So You Think You Can Dance, this video is going to pump all of you up. Nerds and dancers alike are going to love it. It’s called The Science of Dance and does an amazing job illustrating the beauty and technique of so many dancers. I can assure you that you won’t be able to watch this video just once. Enjoy!

You might have noticed that we kind of took the SYTYCD off season off from blogging. We certainly could have posted about a lot of things the dancers were doing, but life got busy. Although, now that I’ve seen the following preview video of So You Think You Can Dance Season 10, I’m really looking forward to the 2013 edition of SYTYCD. The SYTYCD premiere is scheduled for May 14th, 2013.
Also, in case you missed it, Nigel sent out this tweet about possibly bringing back the SYTYCD results shows:

Who’s ready for SYTYCD?
It was announced today that Fox has chosen to pickup up SYTYCD for another season in 2012. Here’s the tweet from Nigel:

That’s right, this will be So You Think You Can Dance season 9. Pretty awesome that it’s been around so long and that is was renewed after SYTYCD Canada was cancelled. While I don’t think the ratings have been as strong as they’d like, the show does have a really strong loyal following. Although, I’m not sure that we’ll get a SYTYCD season 10 in 2013 if the ratings for SYTYCD 2012 aren’t better than they were this year. The tone of Nigel’s tweet shows his excitement for the renewal which to me says renewal of SYTYCD wasn’t a sure thing. Maybe Nigel and the SYTYCD producers should take a look at some suggestions to improve SYTYCD.
